Ministry Focus
Abby Baumbach felt God's call to campus ministry while working at a small church. "I just kept seeing God place value on relationships," she said. "Everywhere I went, I'd see good relationships, bad ones, broken ones, and little attempt to repair many of them. This also reflected our relationship with Christ, something broken for far too many people. "God reminded me of how many relationship patterns are forged in college, and that I should work on helping students develop healthy relationships with God and others." Abby joined Campus Ambassadors in 2009 with her dream to help students reconcile their relationship with Christ. "In Campus Ambassadors, I found a ministry that shared my passion for helping students know God, grow close to God, and develop a strong community with people from every situation. I loved the way everyone was automatically accepted and included, and given new opportunities to grow in Christ." Trained for three wonderful years at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Abby started a new Campus Ambassadors ministry at the University of Denver in the fall of 2012. "I see so much potential for ministry at DU, and feel Christ's passion to reach these students. I'm planting a ministry where students are connected by their love for Christ, their heart to help each other, and their passion to spread Christ's love to others."
